A group of Cochran scholars spent Veterans Day at LACMA, with MOSTE mentors Phyllis Kory, Maggie Scott, Fran Kerzner, Cara Jones and Julia Rome. MOSTE mentor Carla Lazzareschi (a docent at LACMA) joined the group for a docent-led tour of the museum, and arranged for other docents to lead small groups. The group saw art ranging from “Urban Light” to “Levitating Mass” to docents’ touring areas of expertise. Discussion, poetry, and ideas flew freely! After the tours and picnic lunch, scholars were able to get LACMA NexGen passes, visit the La Brea Tar pits, and the nearby Berlin Wall exhibit.
