Ayesha, a senior at Animo South L.A. High School who joined MOSTE as a 7th grader at Gompers Middle School in South Los Angeles, was selected to be a Posse Foundation scholar who was awarded four years tuition at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan. MOSTE salutes Ayesha, who was given her award in January at the Zipper Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles. Ayesha will attend Kalamazoo with a group or "posse" of diverse students who will bond and stick together through their four years at college. She is an independent young woman who clearly recognizes that MOSTE has helped her on her path. MOSTE board members Cindy Lopez and Mary Forgione attended the Posse Foundation ceremony and congratulated Ayesha with her milestone achievement at the award ceremony.
