Alejandra Valenzuela, a commercial real estate broker at NAI Capital, stepped up to serve as president of MOSTE in 2009-10. Jana, as friends call her, is a motivator with a warm leadership style that makes all who come to MOSTE feel at home. She previously served as Membership Co-Chair, recruiting new mentors to our important mission. Aside from her roles on the board, Jana has been matched with More MOSTE Scholar Diana for the past four years.

     Jana has had a remarkable influence on Diana’s life, encouraging her to stay on the academic path. Jana also brings Diana along to MOSTE presentations and mixers, giving Diana a newfound poise and a rich experience in public speaking. She cherishes her relationship with Diana, and cannot wait to see her graduate from high school and attend her dream school, Santa Clara University. Inspired by her time with MOSTE, Jana plans to pursue an MBA starting in fall of 2010 with an emphasis in non-profit and social enterprise.
